Where Is Fataga and How Do You Get There?

Fataga is a small mountain village in the interior of Gran Canaria, about 20 kilometres north of Maspalomas. Set in a deep valley lined with ancient Canarian palm trees, it's one of the most visually stunning spots on the island.

The camel safari includes hotel pickup from the south of Gran Canaria: Maspalomas, Playa del Inglés, Meloneras, San Agustín, and Bahía Feliz.

No car, no bus, no stress. Just show up at the pickup point and the rest is handled.

The Camel Show, What to Expect

The live camel show is one of the highlights of the Fataga safari. You'll watch trained dromedaries perform in front of the group, guided by handlers who have worked with these animals for years.

It's intimate, impressive, family-friendly and brilliant for photos.

The BBQ Lunch at Fataga

After the camel ride and show, you'll sit down to a full barbecue lunch in the valley.

  • Grilled meats, chicken, pork and local specialities
  • Fresh salads and bread
  • Wine, beer, water and soft drinks included
